KVM over IP Switching
www.avocent.com
The Avocent DSR1031 KVM switch is
specifically designed for IT administrators
who need to easily troubleshoot, reboot or
even power cycle servers or serial devices
in branch offices, avoiding the need for
costly on-site service calls.
The DSR1031 switch gives administrators
Virtual Media capability through DSView
3 software. For easy access to network
devices, the switches include USB ports
allowing you to remotely power cycle
connected devices and external modem
support - even when the network is down.
DSView 3 management software, with hub
and spoke architecture, provides failover
authentication.
Users authenticate to a central
management server (the hub) or one of
15 mirror servers (the spokes). SNMP and
IPMI support are also provided.

DSR1031 KVM Switch
KVM over IP switch with BIOS-level control of all connected
servers and serial-based devices in your branch offices and
data centre - now with Virtual Media
What is Virtual Media?
Virtual Media eliminates the need to physically
load a CD directly to the server to perform data-
related tasks on-site. You can remotely load
software by mapping a local removable media
or mass storage device to a remote server. This
allows for remote file transfers, application and
OS patches, and diagnostic testing.
